Kunst am Bau (Art in architecture)
Djeric–Hunold develop site-specific works that engage directly with architecture. Their interventions are not applied to surfaces, but integrated into the spatial and material logic of a building, in both existing structures and new constructions. The focus lies on how material, light and movement define perception within a given context.
Working with pigmented plaster and reduced material systems, they establish precise relationships between surfaces, volumes and light. Black is used selectively as a structuring force that anchors space, directs attention and creates orientation.
Each intervention responds to scale, circulation and use, while introducing a clear spatial order that brings coherence and calm to the environment. Rather than adding visual information, the works articulate relationships, creating zones of intensity, transitions and moments of stillness within the architectural flow.
The result is not an object, but a spatial situation: surfaces become active, perception is guided, and the atmosphere of a space is deliberately shaped.
